Graze Food Co-op is seeking a motivated and community-oriented Part-Time Store Manager to join our team! This role is perfect for someone passionate about local food systems and looking for a flexible position with significant impact. You'll play a crucial role in the daily operations of the co-op, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our members and volunteers.
This position is for 20 hours per week at a rate of $15/hour.
Key Responsibilities
As our part-time Store Manager, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep the co-op running efficiently. Your primary duties will include:
Inventory Management: Overseeing product receiving, stocking shelves, monitoring inventory levels, and assisting with ordering to ensure our shelves are always well-stocked with high-quality goods.
Volunteer Coordination: Scheduling and onboarding volunteers, providing guidance and support, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently to maintain a vibrant and engaged volunteer team.
Customer Service: Providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance to co-op members and customers, answering questions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Scheduling: Creating and managing work schedules for both volunteers and yourself to ensure adequate coverage for store operations.
Store Operations: Operating the cash register and handling transactions as needed, providing backup support during busy periods or when volunteers are unavailable.
Other duties as assigned
Oversight and Support
You'll report directly to the Graze Board of Directors. The board will provide consistent support through:
Monthly check-ins to discuss progress, address any challenges, and plan for upcoming initiatives.
Quarterly evaluations to provide constructive feedback and support your professional growth within the co-op.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is:
Reliable and punctual with strong organizational skills.
An excellent communicator with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Passionate about local food, community, and the co-op model.
Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Previous experience in retail, customer service, or volunteer coordination is a plus, but not required. We're willing to train the right candidate!
